Note: Future of the Left formed out of the ashes of Welsh aggressive rockers McLusky (two of three members, including frontman Andrew Falkous, are in FOTL) and Welsh electro punkers Jarcrew.
Also Note: Curses was released in the UK in 2007 and is now officially released in the U.S.
Sound: Crunchy riffs and antagonistic vocals create arty, melodic hardcore with occasional touches of progressive metal thrown in (ranging from the theatrical - System of a Down - to the staunchly rhythmic – Prong) and a sinister sense of humor.
Heavy Rotation tracks: “Small Bones Small Bodies”; “The Lord Hates A Coward”
Medium Rotation tracks: “Fingers Become Thumbs!”; “Manchasm”; “Suddenly It’s A Folk Song”
Recommended: If you were a fan of McLusky, there’s plenty to like on Curses, but it’s all pretty similar. Andrew Falkous’ bands have a tendency to make invigorating music with few standout tracks.
